Responsibilities
- Scope, design and make day to day technical decisions concerning architecture/infrastructure at module or feature level.
- Working closely with development teams and client teams in a collaborative environment following an agile methodology.
- Adhering to global development and infrastructure standards, guidelines, and principles (SDLC, etc).
- Able to assist in the definition of requirements with module or feature scope.
- Be able to coach others in best DevOps practices.
- Working side-by-side with QC (Quality Control team) to help them detect/prevent defects on the product.
- Demonstrating sensibility toward the present or future needs and demands of potential clients and being able to satisfy them from any organization scope.
- A detail-oriented analysis which includes taking into account the different aspects of the problem and proper planning to come to solutions.
- Avoids tech debt by favoring doing things right vs doing things fast.
- Be extremely organized, manage all relevant assets in a careful fashion (Cloud assets, infrastructure as a code repository, pipelines, logs, keys, scripts, deployment procedures, etc).
Requirements
- Experience performing presentations to a technical and non-technical audience.
- Hands-on experience in different cloud solutions providers. (AWS mandatory) (5+ years).
- Solid knowledge of Linux (RHEL and Debian based distros).
- Good understanding of the DevOps practices with a strong focus on quality.
- Has a holistic view of the SDLC.
- Knowledge of Virtualization and Container technologies.
- Knowledge of networking technologies and practices.
- Experience with container orchestration solutions such as Kubernetes or ECS.
- Experience using infrastructure as code tools such as terraform and cloud formation.
- Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins.
- Solid scripting skills (Bash, Groovy, JavaScript, Python).
