Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Engineer to join our team. As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for building and maintaining data pipelines, automating data workflows, and performing data transformations.
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain data pipelines using programming languages like Python, Java, R, SQL.
- Automate data workflows to streamline data processing and analytics.
- Perform data transformations to ensure data is in the correct format for analysis.
- Design efficient and scalable data schemas using relational and hierarchical data modeling concepts.
- Ensure data quality and data security by following best practices in data management.
- Troubleshoot and solve issues in data pipelines and infrastructure.
- Optimize query performance and debug issues as needed.
- Familiarity with customer analytics in the automotive industry is a plus.
- Work autonomously to high standards with a high degree of attention to detail.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience as a Data Engineer.
- Degree in computer science or related field.
- Strong understanding of databases – relational, NoSQL – as well as cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google) for data processing and analytics.
- Strong skills in programming languages like Python, Java, R, SQL to build and maintain data pipelines, automate data workflows, and perform data transformations.
- Broad experience with different data acquisition techniques and integration styles, such as data streaming or data virtualization, in addition to traditional ETL/ELT approaches.
- Solid understanding of relational as well as hierarchical data modeling concepts to design efficient and scalable data schemas.
- Knowledge of best practices in data management (i.e., data quality, data security).
- Adept at troubleshooting and problem-solving to address issues in data pipelines and infrastructure; skilled in performance tuning, query optimization, and debugging.
- Must work to high standards with a high degree of attention to detail.
