Job Description: Director of Human Resources

Location: Mexico City

About the Company:

For a leading laboratory specializing in high-cost and high-complexity pharmaceuticals, we are seeking a seasoned and dynamic professional to fill the role of Director of Human Resources. The position is based in Mexico City and will oversee the Personnel Administration, Training and Development, and Talent Acquisition departments.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Leadership and Strategic Planning:

  • Provide strategic leadership to the Human Resources function in alignment with the company’s overall objectives.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to develop and implement HR policies and programs.

2. Personnel Administration:

  • Oversee the administration of personnel processes, ensuring compliance with local labor laws and regulations.
  • Develop and implement effective employee relations strategies to foster a positive work environment.

3. Training and Development:

  • Develop and execute training programs to enhance the skills and competencies of the workforce.
  • Identify training needs, both for individual employees and the organization as a whole.

4. Talent Acquisition:

  • Lead the Talent Acquisition team in sourcing, recruiting, and onboarding top-tier talent.
  • Collaborate with department heads to understand staffing needs and implement effective recruitment strategies.

5. Employee Engagement:

  • Implement initiatives to enhance employee engagement and satisfaction.
  • Foster a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion within the organization.

6. Compliance and Risk Management:

  • Ensure HR policies and practices comply with relevant labor laws and regulations.
  • Mitigate HR-related risks through effective policy enforcement and proactive measures.

7. Performance Management:

  • Develop and implement performance management systems to drive employee performance and development.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews in collaboration with department heads.

8. Team Management:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the HR team.
  • Create a collaborative and high-performance culture within the HR department.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in similar HR leadership roles within the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Strong knowledge of local labor laws and regulations.
  • Proven experience in personnel administration, training, talent acquisition, and strategic HR planning.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
